Making valentines in secret is one of the best things about valentines day. But it's impossible to share them with you before valentines day is over - otherwise it would spoil everyones surprise. We were all delighted by the thought, effort and love that went into the making of each others valentines this year. Here are some that were lovingly made in secret yesterday.
This was my surprise from Bob when I got home. Then began the excited exchange of valentines.
Bob's valentines are so playful and fun, I never know what to expect but I am always delighted!
Sarah surprised us with cupcakes and the best fresh strawberry mousse which she invented while making frosting for the cupcakes. It never really made it onto the cupcakes because it was too delicious by its self!
This tiny valentine that Isabelle made for Sarah amazed everyone. We are smitten by the tiny chaos hearts.
Some people think valentines day is a lame holiday but I say what's lame about making things for people you love, surprising them with it and expressing your affection? And remember how fun the valentine boxes at school used to be? Hoping that there might be a valentine from a secret crush with an added note penciled in "I love you". This is a great holiday for kids and adults alike, it incorporates creativity, affection, and playfulness which are essential aspects of living. And if it done in secret all the better!
those are really great! What a bunch of artists you all are.
