A short time ago we were in Provo, UT. and stopped by Cats Cradle Antiques. This is an amazing shop - amazing because they always have the most unusual and interesting things. On this visit we spotted a large aquatint by Alex Katz. The printing plates were in the shape of the silhouette of the boy, if you look closely at the image below you can see the plate mark around the figure. I have tried to look up this print by I can't find it anywhere. If you know anything about it please let me know. It was beautifully printed, love the way the face was done... wish I could have taken it home with me!
I know about this print, because I am a nerd. I will come over and tell you about it.
